Professor Kilpatrick’s latest book, CHRISTIANITY, ISLAM, AND ATHEISM: The Struggle for the Soul of the West (Ignatius Press, 2012), describes the growth of militant Islam in Europe and the US and explains the ways in which multiculturalists and well-meaning Christians alike have enabled its spread. He challenges the claim that there is a moral equivalence between Islam and Christianity and he details the startling differences between the two faiths. CHRISTIANITY, ISLAM, AND ATHEISM is a wake-up call for those who underestimate the danger from Islam. It shows why Islam is not like any other religion, and why cultural jihad rather than armed jihad is the main threat to our society.

CHRISTIANITY, ISLAM, AND ATHEISM:
The Struggle for the Soul of the West

Christianity, Islam, and Atheism

Will our children live in a world dominated by Islam?

Europe has become a land of full mosques and empty churches—a continent where “Mohammed” is the most popular boys’ name and non-Muslim women wear the hijab for protection. In France, there are over 750 “no-go zones”: Muslim enclaves—some as big as small cities—where police fear to go. In Sweden and Holland, Jews are fleeing their homelands as they once fled the Nazis. Most alarmingly, criticism of Islam is now a crime in many European countries.

Most Americans assume that Islamization can’t happen here because they mistakenly think of the Islamic threat in terms of armed jihad rather than cultural jihad. But Europe’s inability to resist Islamization is the result not of military weakness, but of a spiritual vacuum. If Christian faith had been more robust in Europe, it is unlikely that Islam would have advanced so far, so fast. As Europe lost its faith, it also lost its sense of purpose and resolve.

Yet recent polls show that America also is becoming less Christian, and more secular. Thanks to the work of ardent atheists and multiculturalists, Americans are less certain about their faith, and more likely to accept the myth that there is a moral equivalence between Islam and Christianity. More disturbingly, many Christians act as unwitting enablers of Islam by throwing open the church doors to Islamic apologists and proselytizers. Unfortunately, many Christians have been lulled into complacency by the misleading and largely unexamined belief that Christianity shares much in common with Islam.

In this eye-opening work, the author reveals:
  • The startling differences between Christianity and Islam
  • How the Koran stacks up against the Gospels as a historical account, and how the ghostly Jesus of the Koran compares to the Jesus of the Gospels
  • Why Islam itself—not just “radical Islam”—is the problem, and how to reverse Christianity’s suicidal passivity in the face of Islamic advances
  • How 7th grade textbooks for American schoolchildren present Islam as a model of interfaith tolerance, and Christianity as a purveyor of bigotry and intolerance
  • How a real-life “Da Vinci Code” cover-up has been unfolding under our noses—a massive media attempt to cover up the true nature of Islam
  • How the feminization of Christianity undercuts our ability to respond to the challenge of Islam
  • How Muslims can be converted, and how an elderly Coptic priest is showing the way
  • Why the failure to speak out about Islam may prove more damaging to the Christian faith than sex scandals and money scandals.

This fact-filled and thought-provoking book reveals that militant secularists and naïve Christians, alike, have become enablers of Islam’s totalitarian agenda. If Christians are going to find the will to resist Islamization, they need to clearly understand the claims of Islam, as well as the far more compelling case for their own faith.

BOOK ENDORSEMENT

"This extraordinary book pierces through the politically correct miasma of unreality that envelops us and explains clearly and persuasively, with mountains of evidence, the threat that Islam poses today to the Church and to Western civilization. William Kilpatrick is to be commended for penning a concise and comprehensive introduction to the reality and magnitude of the Islamic supremacist threat. This book should be essential reading for politicians, bishops, and everyone who is on the front lines of the culture wars." Robert Spencer, author of the New York Times bestsellers, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) and The Truth About Muhammad.
