Becker...expert on the art and science of effective
salesmanship, the key to success
At the age of 22, Hal became the #1 salesperson (out
of 11,000) for Xerox. Six years later (in 1983), he
formed Direct Opinions, one of the first customer service
telemarketing firms. Around that time, he contracted
and beat cancer and later formed the nonprofit Cancer
Hotline of Cleveland. He donates proceeds from his two
books, including his national bestseller, Can I Have
5 Minutes Of Your Time?, to the "Hotline".

1990, Hal sold Direct Opinions to concentrate on his lecture-seminar
career. As an internationally known strategist on power selling,
sales management and customer service, he makes over 150 presentations
yearly.
